The Art of the Trio presents sublime renditions of standards that the great pianist Sonny Clark recorded over 3 sessions in 1957-58, with Paul Chambers (bass), Jymie Merritt (bass), Philly Joe Jones (drums), and Wes Landers (drums). This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl 2LP at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket that includes a booklet with liner notes and never-before-seen Francis Wolff photos.
