We're looking for a friendly, outgoing, customer service-focused team member with a love of books & music. This is a part-time position and schedule flexibility is a bonus.

- Starts at $15-16 an hour, depending on prior retail experience, with potential for advancement
- Part time - Typically 10-20 hours per week.
- Retail therapy store dog available for pets
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about books & music.
- Must be 18 years of age or over due to Virginia Beach Second-hand Dealer licensing requirements. (We'll pay for your $200 annual license.)
- Have strong communication, selling and time management skills
- Confident and can easily build rapport when meeting new people
- Can assess customer needs and enjoys helping people solve problems
- Can safely lift 50 lbs. and can maneuver throughout the sales floor and stockroom. Position requires repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
- High-school diploma or equivalent required, college preferred.
- Ideally at least two years of retail or service industry experience.
- Must be highly proficient in math skills as relating to retail sales & promotion. Percents, margins, discounts, BOGOs, etc. If you're not good at math, multitasking and retail logic puzzles this may not be the job for you. Note: It's okay to hate math, but you still have to be good at it. :)
- Comfortable participating in store social media marketing.
- Note: Time off cannot be taken during the peak retail period of November 20 to December 27, or peak retail event days like Black Friday or Record Store Day.
