Released in 1982, Night Nurse is one of the best-known records of Gregory Isaacs' career - This 180gm vinyl re-issue faithfully replicates the original Island Records pressing and includes the original's poster. Recorded at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, the album was produced by Isaacs and bassist Errol "Flabba" Holt, with the Roots Radics providing the backing. The musicians included drummer Lincoln "Style" Scott, guitarist Eric "Bingy Bunny" Lamont, lead guitarist Dwight Pinkney, keyboard player Wycliffe "Steelie" Johnson and synthesizer player Wally Badarou. The original album contains eight tracks, including "Stranger in Town", "Objection Overruled", "Hot Stepper", "Cool Down the Pace", "Material Man", "Not the Way" and "Sad to Know (You're Leaving)". It's title track, "Night Nurse", became Isaacs' signature recording, combining a relaxed reggae rhythm with lyrics portraying romantic longing and a plea for comfort.
