About Import Dates: These change frequently for a host of reasons: customs, transportation, communication issues, etc. They usually fill but sometimes weeks after the published date. Treat them as guidelines only.
Special order. We may not stock this in the shop, but we'd be glad to order one for you. Orders placed less than 30 days before release typically fill, but on allocated products there's a greater chance they won't or will be delayed. If it doesn't fill, which is rare, we'll give you a full refund.

Description
Bill Evans and Jim Hall first recorded together in July 1959 during the sessions for Odds Against Tomorrow. Both musicians also appeared on Jazz Abstractions, recorded in December 1960. Since both projects were large ensemble recordings, they offered little opportunity for meaningful interaction between the pianist and guitarist. Undercurrent, a collection of intimate duets, marked their third studio collaboration and remains one of the most accomplished and rewarding partnerships of their careers.
