Rock & Roll Hal of Fame and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Robbie Robertson has enthralled music lovers since The Band’s Music From Big Pink changed all the rules for popular music in 1968. Through his career with The Band through his Grammy-nominated and acclaimed solo work, Robertson also excelled in the art of scoring motion pictures. It began with Martin Scorsese’s 1978 film The Last Waltz. Next was Carny (which Robertson produced and starred in with Gary Busey and Jodie Foster), to another Scorsese classic, Raging Bull, both in 1980. (His connection with Scorsese lasted over four decades more, with Robertson receiving a posthumous Oscar nomination for 2023’s Killers Of The Flower Moon.)
